We’re over the moon to announce a Launceston Poetry Festival collaboration with Cornish-based artist Olga Owczarek. Olga is weaving a tapestry inspired by a residency at Charles Causley’s Launceston home, Cyprus Well. She has created this inspiring commission in dialogue with Causley’s poetry, and the piece will be shown and sold at the Festival to raise funds for our work.
Follow Olga’s process through her channels (@texturetapestries on Instagram & https://texturetapestries.com/on the web), and join us at the 2026 Launceston Poetry Festival, 1-3 May; details to follow. Olga will be hosting community workshops inspired by Causley poems on Saturday 2 May, and we look forward to sharing this wonderful activity with Festivalgoers.
