Become a Trustee
Become a Trustee
As of August 2026 we are currently recruiting for two new trustee positions:
- General Trustee
- Trustee & Chair Person
We are excited to invite applications for these two trustee roles at the Charles Causley Trust, a small dynamic literary charity based in Launceston, Cornwall. The Trust supports creative skills development in the poetry sector and our local community, extending the practical impact of poet Charles Causley. Our work includes the annual Launceston Poetry Festival, which has developed a reputation for assembling the foremost poets nationwide.
This is an opportunity to help shape our development at an important time; bringing your skills to this voluntary role as we plan and build. You will be passionate about the worlds of poetry and literature, community arts, and opportunities for children and young people, bringing experience in these fields. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of background and we are seeking to actively recruit people from marginalised communities (the Global Majority, LGQTQIA+ community etc.) and those who have no previous trustee experience.
If you are interested these roles, please submit a CV (or overview of experience), skills audit and covering letter to David Devanny at chair@causleytrust.org.
Closing date for applications is 5pm on 28th August 2026
