Today on the 28th October, the Causley Trust’s Director, Nicola Nuttall, was invited by the Speaker of the House of Commons to the Opening of the Constituency Garden of Remembrance. This invitation was extended as one of Charles’s poems, At the British War Cemetery, was read at the remembrance event.
This is a partnership with the Royal British Legion where the Speaker of the House of Commons is marking the installation of the Gardens of Remembrance in New Palace Yard at the Houses of Parliament. This Garden will feature Remembrance tributes.
We are proud to see Charles’s poetic legacy recognised at events such as these, as his poems provide such sombre reminders of those who sacrificed so much for their country.
