‘Night Sky’ is written by Evie Manolchev, an aspiring poet from Cornwall.
The crescent moon standing tall and proud,
The silvery, silent presence of the clouds,
The tranquility that comes with the lack of light,
The stars smiling down on you, ever so bright,
As you gaze up at the stars in awe and wonder,
Safe and sound in the blanket your under,
Ready to slip into a world of dreams,
And there you are running wild and free,
The distraught cries from birds that echo across the sky,
A sudden peace overwhelms you as you begin to cry,
Just how serene and beautiful the night time is,
Until it’s broken by the awakening of dawn.
