2ND PLACE- Emily Harrison with 'CAN'T GET THERE FROM HERE

We are beyond excited to share with you the selected poems from our international competition this year.

This year’s theme was Family and our podium and highly commended perfectly reflect the multitude and range of memories, emotions and situations associated with relatives and/or those we consider kin.

Poet Bio

Emily Harrison is a BAFTA-nominated writer from Swindon. She has been recognised in several national and international poetry competitions, including The Bridport Prize, The National Poetry Competition, and The Women’s Poetry Prize. Her poetry pamphlet, Grief Stitches (2022), is published by Makina Books and has been recognised by The Poetry Society. Her work has also appeared in Magma, bath magg, and The London Review of Books. She lives and teaches in Tower Hamlets.
