A WALK IN CHARLES CAUSLEY’S LAUNCESTON
Meet Rob Tremain at Merchant House, for a walk around the Launceston Charles Causley knew so well.

LAUNCESTON CASTLE TOURS
Enjoy a tour of Launceston’s most iconic landmark. Dating from the 11th century the founder of the Quakers, George Fox, and Sir Cuthbert Mayne were both imprisoned here; a World War II camp housed soldiers on the castle green and King Charles III was made Duke of Cornwall here.

CAUSLEY POETRY WALK
Join Falmouth academic, writer and Causley Trust Chair David Devanny on his poetry tour of Launceston. Exploring the iconic locations that feature prominently in Charles Causley’s poetry, David will read excerpts from Charles’s Launceston poems.

CYPRUS WELL OPEN HOUSE
Enjoy a tour of Charles Causley’s long-time home, Cyprus Well. See the study where he wrote much of his poetry, his first typewriter and the piano where he practised. The house feels as if Charles Causley has stepped out for a pint at The Bell Inn and is a hub for writing residencies and cultural stays.
