LAUNCESTON CASTLE TOURS WITH ENGLISH HERITAGE
Join English Heritage’s guides as they take you on a bespoke tour of Launceston’s most iconic landmark. Charles Causley wrote poems about the Castle which dates from the 11th century. The founder of the Quakers, George Fox, and Sir Cuthbert Mayne were both imprisoned here; a World War II camp housed soldiers on the Castle Green and King Charles III was made Duke of Cornwall here!

Join Falmouth academic, writer and Causley Trust Chair David Devanny on his poetry tour of Launceston. Exploring the iconic locations that feature prominently in Charles Causley’s poetry, David will read excerpts from Charles’s Launceston poems.
