Poet in Residence: Tommy Sissons

We’re so pleased that poet, writer and educator Tommy Sissons will be our Poet in Residence this summer.
Tommy Sissons
Tommy is a novelist, poet, educator, and dramatist based in London. His polemic ‘A Small Man’s England’ (2021) and his debut novel ‘Cautious, A Boat Adrift’ (2023) were both published by Repeater Books. Sissons’ plays have previously been performed at the Unicorn Theatre, the Chichester Festival Theatre, the Jack Studio Theatre and the Brighton Komedia. His poetry has been featured in a variety of journals, including The Poetry Review, and has been studied in colleges and universities in the UK, Germany, and the USA. Sissons is also the editor of GRASS Magazine, an annual publication specialising in the promotion of working-class literature, art, and photography. He has given lectures on his work at institutions such as the V&A Museum, Sheffield Hallam University, Roehampton University and the University of Chicago Illinois.
