Our online literary blog, The Maker, has just released its new theme for November: CHOICE.
Inspired by the theme for this year’s National Poetry Day, our blog is inviting young writers to select their own theme for next month’s publication week. We encourage our growing literary community to take this opportunity to submit creative pieces under any theme, no matter how niche, for what we hope to be an incredibly interesting, explorative and varied week of publications.
A reminder of our submission guidelines:
- Poetry – limit of 50 lines
- Creative non-fiction- limit of 2,000 words
- Short stories- limit of 2,000 words
Our deadline for our next lot of submissions will be the 16th of November. All submissions, along with a brief paragraph letting us know a bit about you and the piece we are about to read, need to be emailed to themaker@causleytrust.org by this date.
Successful writers will be contacted by email by our editors to discuss any edits or developments, though these will not be extensive.
In the meantime, our launch week is fast approaching! Keep an eye out on our website and social media pages until the 18thof October, when we publish our first round of publications!
