Causley Festival 2022

Preparations for our 2022 Charles Causley Festival of Arts and Literature are well underway and we have some exciting updates for you!

This year’s festival will be both in person and digital. Even if you cannot make it to Launceston, you can attend and participate in our 2022 festival via Zoom. This year’s event will also include a community day, in conjunction with English Heritage, Launceston Town Council and the Chamber of Commerce.

In-person Arts and Culture Festival: events held across 29-31 July.

The line-up will include (amongst others):

  • Vahni Capildeo (pictured) – our current Writer in Residence.
  • Pascale Petit.
  • Penelope Shuttle.
  • David Devanny.

Events will include:

  • Workshops
  • Readings
  • Poetry walks
  • Interviews and Q&As
  • Open mic sessions

Digital Arts and Culture Festival: events held across 29-31 July.

The line up will include (amongst others):

  • Vahni Capildeo.
  • Katrina Naomi.
  • Patrick Gale.

Community Day: held on the 30th July in Launceston, in conjunction with English Heritage, Launceston Town Council and the Chamber of Commerce.

Events will include …

  • The Mayoral reopening of Launceston Castle.
  • Unveiling of creative work by Vahni Capildeo, following their artist residency.
  • Theatrical and musical performances.
  • The Burton Art Gallery’s Art Box.
  • Community walks with Scary Little Girls.
