Charlotte Walker was born in Cambridge and grew up in Huddersfield, the youngest of four children. She read Art History, Museum Studies and Languages and began but never finished a Poetry MA.
For the last several years before her residency she had been living in Paris, working as a Translator, a sommelier and an au pair. Upon returning home she took a job in an office before finding out she had got the residency at Cyprus Well. Poetry and drawing have always been a refuge for Charlotte. She has spent much of her residency working on illustrating Causley’s ‘My Mother Saw A Dancing Bear’, along with producing a collection of poetry.
